Appointments

Your need for an appointments to treat injury or illness may occur without warning and require prompt scheduling and intervention to protect your pet against further complications.

Appointments for critical care are usually urgent, or emergency exams in which time is crucial. Try to contact the clinic as you transport your pet so we can prepare for your arrival. Write down any instructions staff provide about the handling and transport of your pet. We do provide transport if assistance is required.

Annual Physical Exams

One of the most common and important reasons our clients visit the clinic is for their pet's annual physical exam. During this appointment, the veterinarian will perform a comprehensive physical examination, addressing your pet's health, nutritional and behavioral needs. We recommend vaccinations based on your pet's age and lifestyle. During the visit, we may take blood samples to screen for Heartworm Disease or internal organ dysfunction. Please bring a fresh fecal sample to check for internal parasites.

Medical Progress Exams

These exams help our doctors to evaluate your pet's response to ongoing treatments for illness or injury. Keep a list of questions regarding your pet's recovery, noting any responses you wish to report, whether to prescribed medications or special diets. These follow-up appointments help us determine if medications are working or if adjunct therapies are necessary.

House Calls

House calls are especially attractive for pets that dislike clinic visits, clients with time constraints or those with disabilities that impede transportation.
